Least Authority would like to announce the creation of the “Least Authority Security Index”, a tokenized collection of our most security-dedicated clients.
This index will provide diversified exposure to crypto assets that have a high security rating, showing their commitment to high standards of security, as determined by Least Authority based on the objective evaluation of the results of our security audit.
Projects of Least Authority´s clients will be eligible to be included in the index if they fulfill several basic criteria and, additionally, meet a certain security rating as determined by Least Authority based on the objective evaluation of the results of the respective security audit, in addition to publishing the report for full transparency of our assessment. The exact methodology for inclusion in the index, including the calculation of security rating will be made public.
The first iteration of the Index is planned to be launched in mid-2023 and will be limited to institutional investors. The Index calculation will be managed independently by an approved service provider. We will monitor the outcome and then we will expand the offering to retail investors.
Least Authority CEO, Liz Steininger, writes, “Since crypto assets are valuable, security is fundamental for our systems to reliably transact them and preserve the integrity of this data. We believe in the right to privacy, and security also ensures we have the necessary confidentiality. We want the Security Index Token to provide both a convenient way for investors to support security-focused crypto assets and an additional incentive for the teams that have high security standards. And of course, this provides another layer of transparency for independent analysis of security claims. We are excited by the opportunities that this Security Index Token offers.”
Interested investors may participate by investing in a security token that is issued as a bond. More details will become available prior to the official opening for investments. As with any investment, there is always a degree of risk involved, there are no guarantees or promises of return. Inclusion in the index does not represent a recommendation by Least Authority to make an investment.
Least Authority will disclose the necessary securities documentation of the Index with the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) to ensure compliance.
If your organization is interested in being included in the launch of the index token or if you are an accredited investor who is interested in joining the launch, we encourage you to reach out to us at securityindex@leastauthority.com.
