TechGDPR has been formed to help tech-centric companies that use bleeding-edge technology comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Liz Steininger, the CEO and MD of Least Authority said, “The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most important change in data privacy regulation in 20 years and our companies are working together to make sure you’re prepared.” TechGDPR team has an in-depth understanding of the GDPR, backed up by certifications by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Frauenhofer Institut, iSCQ and TÜV Nord. They also have an extensive technical and business experience with Blockchain, Cloud, AI and IoT to help tech-centric companies ensure that their systems and processes are compliant with this regulation.
TechGDPR’s core competence is technical consulting on GDPR in the Blockchain, IOT, AI and Cloud environments. The company’s team of privacy professionals provide Guidance to GDPR Compliance, product development consultancy – Data Protection by Design and Default, Data Protection Officer as-a-Service, GDPR Code Review and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
The consultants can be engaged for a few hours of consulting or for an extensive project in which they guide organization or project towards compliance. In addition, the company offers Data Protection Officer and EU-representative as ongoing services. TechGDPR also offers training, workshops and webinars.
Regarding TechGDPR’s focus on tech-centric companies, Silvan, the founder-CEO said, “This is especially important because technology companies usually deal with large amounts of data and complex technical infrastructure. Where web 3.0 technology such as blockchain, IoT or AI comes into play, it becomes almost impossible to involve a regular compliance consultancy without specialized knowledge. With a background in security training, and technology leadership our team is a perfect fit to help tech-companies bridge Technology, Business, and Compliance.”
The founders of TechGDPR believe that tech companies should embrace GDPR as a blueprint for enhancing transparency and privacy efforts and to ensure that individual autonomy prevails. Through their new company, they aim to help the companies with GDPR preparedness and let people’s data stay private. As Liz said, “At Least Authority we believe that people have a right to privacy. We build products and provide services which help people retain control over their data. TechGDPR is an important step forward for us as it helps companies comply with a regulation that empowers people by giving them rights over their data and by giving them more control of the data they own and produce.” “Being privacy advocates at heart and technology specialists by trade, we aim to not only ensure compliance of companies to the law but also sensitize companies to the importance of the basic human right to privacy,” added Karen DPO and Data Protection Consultant of TechGDPR.
